Don't be fooled. This is the original portable wood-burning oven design, introduced in 1978 by the Fontana family and still in use across Italy by families who love to gather outdoors for deliciously prepared meals. Today, it remains one of our best-selling ovens because it combines beautiful Italian design with versatility and functionality. Use it to prepare brick-oven pizza, bread, roasts, chicken, vegetables and more! With the Rosso, there are no limits — if you can imagine it, you can cook it to perfection.
Innovative Design
Our innovative dual-chambered design directs heat from the fire chamber around the cooking chamber providing consistent and even temperature for optimal cooking. The convection controlled cooking chamber has multiple racks allowing you to cook several dishes at once.
Heavy-duty Construction
Solid-weld construction using 2.5 millimeter of 304 & 441 stainless steel reinforced with a 5-millimeter Corten steel panel and heavy-duty Cast Iron doors provides years of durable, rust-free performance.
Maximum Insulation
A full 12 centimeters insulation surrounds the cooking chamber to maximize heat retention and cooking efficiency. Our oven are so well insulated that the exterior is safe to the touch while at cooking temperature.Superior Results
The smallest details can make a big difference. Fontana ovens include a stainless steel chimney damper & a sliding cooking chamber damper for maximum heat retention and precise temperature control.
Handcrafted
Fontana ovens are designed and 100% made in Italy by skilled artisans using the finest, most durable materials.
Long-lasting Performance
We electro-galvanize our metals before powder-coating, providing superb protection against corrosion.100% Designed & Made in Italy
Since 1978, our Italian master craftsmen have held themselves to the most exacting standards of quality construction. They pride themselves on building the most robust, durable oven available. We know that there is no other oven on the market that combines quality, performance, convenience, craftsmanship, & durability the way a Fontana oven does.
Several brands on the market manufacture their ovens overseas using inexperienced laborers that tend to cut costs on materials and construction which results in a less durable & inferior performing product.
Superior Materials & Construction
Fontana ovens are constructed using 2.5 millimeter 304 & 441 stainless steel, 12 centimeter thick insulation, and corrosion-resistant, powder-coated metal. Many other brands use lighter, cheaper materials, lower-grade steel, and synthetic insulation, affecting heat retention and durability.
Further, Fontana uses all continuous solid-weld construction, not the spot welding and screws you’ll find in many other ovens, which will peel, split, or break under duress of high temperatures.
We are proud to say, many of the first Fontana wood-fired ovens built in the late 1970's are still in use today.
