The Dimplex built-in, slim-line electric firebox is a terrific alternative to wood or gas fireplaces, without the hassle. In no time you will be enjoying a warm, ambient fire in your home. The electric firebox from Dimplex features a large viewing area, and LED effects for energy efficiency. Hand-finished, LED inner-glow logs are molded from real logs and sit on top of the pulsating embers for a realistic fire. Patented 3D fire technology gives the fire depth and dancing flames. The flames can be used with or without heat, so the look of a wood fire can be enjoyed year-round. This Dimplex BFSL33 firebox comes ready to be hardwired (240V) into your home, but can be converted to a plug-in model. A hardwired 240V installation will operate at 2,423 watt/ 8,160 BTU and heat up a room up to 1000 square feet. A 120V wall outlet installation will operate at 1,223 watt/ 4,080 BTU and heat a room up to 400 square feet. Once the temperature is set, the thermostat maintains the heat in the room using a fan-forced heater. With 90 percent less carbon dioxide emissions than average gas fireplaces and no harmful particles, electric fireplaces are the safe choice for your home. The firebox includes a removable trim kit, mesh screen and on / off remote control. This unit can be flush-mounted with drywall or installed in an existing fireplace.
