Installation Notes
The Ciao is an outdoor wood-burning oven. Set it on a flat, stable, non-combustible surface at least 8 in (20 cm) from walls and other equipment, and keep anything flammable at least 3 ft (1 m) away. The outer shell gets hot in use.
Do not use it in an enclosed room. Under a roof or pergola, Alfa calls for a UL103HT double-wall chimney in place of the supplied single-wall pipe, with 3 in of clearance around it and at least 3 ft of rise above the roof it passes through. Rules on wood smoke, terraces and rooftops vary by building and town, including in New York City, so confirm with your building and local authority before you install.
