The Challenger Designs In-Stock 48 inch Grill Cabinet (OGGB-483528) is a double-door base cabinet for a built-in gas grill or griddle in a powder-coated aluminum outdoor kitchen. It ships fully assembled with a finished back panel, so it can stand as part of an island or against a wall, and it joins the other Challenger In-Stock cabinets in a run. Choose a Pan (flat panel) door in Anthracite, Black, Cappuccino or Grey Glimmer, or a Shaker door in Anthracite or White.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: one fully assembled 48 in grill cabinet in the selected color and door style
  • Required: a countertop (Challenger ACT-30 aluminum or SST-30 stainless, or your own stone), and the built-in grill or griddle with any insulating jacket its maker requires
  • Optional: matching back, end and filler panels, toe-kick kits, and an inside corner kit for L-shaped runs, plus the Challenger cabinets suggested below

Installation Notes

Set the cabinet on a level surface and use the adjustable legs to true it before joining adjoining cabinets with the standard connection hardware. The grill maker's clearance and enclosure rules still apply: many gas grills need an insulating jacket in a cabinet, enclosure vents, and a gas shut-off accessible inside the cabinet. In New York City, the gas connection must be made by a licensed master plumber under a DOB permit, and rooftop or terrace installs need building approval. Will my grill fit?
