Frame the island opening to the AMG 2026 cutout sheet, 34 in W x 21 in D x 19-1/2 in H, square and level so the drawers run true and the door seals. If the access door is the route to the gas shutoff for a grill or side burner, leave the valve reachable and the area clear.

On a New York City terrace or rooftop, check the structure can carry a finished stone or masonry island before you build, and expect building or board approval for an outdoor kitchen in a multifamily building.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cutout does it need?

AMG lists 34 in W x 21 in D x 19-1/2 in H for the 36 in Deluxe drawer and door combo.

Is it the same size as the other combo?

Yes. The DC2-36-AMG and DC3-36-AMG share the same cutout; the 2-drawer version gives you two drawers beside the door.

Can it go in a wood-framed island?

Storage doors and drawers have no burners, but grills and side burners in the same island need non-combustible construction or AMG insulating liners.

What warranty applies?

AMG covers stainless steel doors and drawers under its Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty on construction, workmanship and materials, for registered original purchasers.
