Fire Magic Echelon Black Access Door with Platter Storage and Double Drawer - 53816BSC

This is the single unit that finishes most of an island run: a full-height access door for bulk storage (Fire Magic requires a louvered door model for propane tanks), a dedicated platter shelf, and a soft-close double drawer, all behind one flush 36 1/2 in opening in black powder coat over 304 stainless steel. It is the widest combination in the Echelon Black Collection and the one that replaces three separate cut-outs with one.

  • Three storage types in one cut-out. Single access door, platter storage and a double drawer share a single 36 1/2 in opening, which saves island frontage and keeps the face uninterrupted.
  • Black powder coat over 304 stainless steel. Matches the Echelon Black grill and the rest of the Echelon Black storage line, so a full run reads as one piece of cabinetry.
  • Dedicated platter storage. Serving platters sit upright and reachable rather than stacked flat at the back of a drawer.
  • Soft-close on both the door and the drawers. Magnetic latch on the door, soft-close glides on the drawers, so nothing slams in a space where everything is stainless and hard-surfaced.
  • Polyurethane foam filled panels. Adds rigidity and insulation across a wide door that would otherwise flex.
  • Continuous rain guard gasket. Full-perimeter sealing keeps water out of the island enclosure.
  • Removable utensil bin included.

Required to Complete the Installation

Nothing further is required. There is no gas, fuel or electrical connection and no separate frame kit. The unit needs a finished island opening of 18 1/2 in high by 36 1/2 in wide by 26 in deep. The 26 in depth is the figure most often missed: this combination is deeper than a plain access door, so confirm the island has the depth behind the face before ordering.

Fire Magic outdoor kitchen storage components are warranted against defects for three (3) years. The warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase and to single family residential use. Warranty claims are handled through your authorized Fire Magic dealer.
