The Primo All-in-One Oval XL 400 (PGCXLC) is Primo's extra-large oval kamado packaged on a rolling metal cradle with side shelves, an ash tool and a grate lifter, so it arrives as a complete charcoal grill, smoker and oven. The oval firebox gives true two-zone cooking on 400 sq in, or 680 sq in with the optional racks.
Primo builds it in Tucker, Georgia, from premium-grade ceramic with a scratch-resistant porcelain glaze, and the lift-and-lock hinge, felt gasket and cool-touch handle make the heavy lid easy to manage.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes
Primo requires 12 in. of clearance behind the grill for the lid to open and at least 2 in. around the exterior, per the spec sheet. Use the grill outdoors only, never use lighter fluid, and set the grill on Primo ceramic feet on any surface other than a metal stand. In New York City, the NYC Fire Code restricts charcoal and other open-flame grills on balconies, terraces and rooftops, so confirm your building and FDNY rules before ordering. Book a design consultation if you want to build the Primo into an outdoor kitchen instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What comes in the All-in-One package?
The grill head, the rolling cradle with side shelves, an ash tool and a grate lifter. Charcoal and the optional rack system are extra.
Can it smoke and sear?
Yes. The oval firebox can be split with a divider for two-zone cooking, so you can sear over direct heat on one side and roast or smoke indirectly on the other.
Do I need ceramic feet?
Only when the grill sits on a wood deck or table instead of its metal cradle. Primo calls for its ceramic feet on those surfaces.
Can I use it in New York City?
On a backyard or ground-level patio, usually. The NYC Fire Code restricts charcoal grills on balconies, terraces and rooftops, so check your building and FDNY rules first.

Warranty
Primo Grills and Smokers limited warranty, per the Primo owner's manual: Limited Lifetime Warranty backed by a 20-year guarantee on ceramic parts, five (5) years on all metal parts (excluding cast-iron parts), one (1) year on cast-iron parts, one (1) year on cooking grates, and thirty (30) days on thermometers and felt gaskets, for the original purchaser. Coverage is repair or replacement of parts Primo finds defective under normal use, with replacement parts shipped at the purchaser's expense; damage from accident, misuse, improper installation or maintenance, and cracks or chips in the exterior glaze after delivery to the dealer are excluded.
