Description
The Blaze BLZ-PRO-IR is the optional infrared sear burner for Blaze Professional LUX gas grills. It swaps in for a standard burner to give you a high-heat zone for searing steaks, chops and vegetables, and it runs from the grill's existing valve.

Installation Notes
Per the Blaze Professional manual: remove the far left cooking grid, flame stabilizing grid and zone divider, pull the cotter pins at the rear and lift out the conventional burner, then seat the infrared burner over the valve so gas flows into it, leaving the flame tamer off. Replace the divider and grid. To clean, run it on high for 5 to 7 minutes with the hood open. Laying out the island? Book a design consultation.

Is it required?
No. It is an optional upgrade for the Professional LUX grill.
Can I keep the flame tamer over it?
No. Blaze says not to use this burner with the flame tamer reinstalled above it.

The Blaze Professional manual lists lifetime parts-only coverage on main burners, cooking grids, body, flame tamers and valves, and 1 year on ignition, electronics and lighting; the infrared sear burner is not listed separately. Labor and shipping are not covered; register within 30 days.
