The Delta Heat Vent Hood (DHVH) is a wall-mount outdoor kitchen hood sized for 36, 48 and 60 in grill runs. It has a 3-speed rotary fan control, a separate light switch for two halogen lamps, and dishwasher-safe baffle filters with an integral grease collector. Delta Heat approves it for a covered outdoor patio or lanai when the roof extends well past the hood and the circuit is GFCI protected. Note that the blower motor is sold separately.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: vent hood with control panel, halogen lights, power cord and baffle filters (3, 4 or 5 by width)
  • Required: Delta Heat integral blower TEVI-120I-C (blower motor assembly S16477, sold separately), 10 in minimum metal ductwork to the outdoors with a wall or roof cap, transition, and a dedicated 15 A GFCI-protected 120V circuit
  • Recommended: vent hood backdraft damper S13166 (sold separately), especially in cold climates, with a non-metallic thermal break

Installation Notes

Delta Heat says the hood must be vented to the outside through metal ductwork no smaller than 10 in, mounted centered over the grill at least 36 in above the cooking surface, and plugged into a GFCI-protected dedicated 15 A circuit with no extension cord. Two installers are recommended. Outdoors it is approved only under a protective roof that extends at least 42 in past each side and 30 in past the front, and Delta Heat does not recommend it over solid fuel appliances such as charcoal grills. Follow the grill maker's clearances to combustibles as well. In New York City, ducting and electrical work need licensed trades and may need DOB filing. Is the blower included?

No. Delta Heat specifies the TEVI-120I-C integral blower (motor assembly S16477), sold separately; the hood must not be installed without it.

Can I install it under a pergola?

Only under a solid protective roof that covers the hood and extends at least 42 in past each side and 30 in past the front, per Delta Heat.

How high above the grill does it go?

Centered over the grill and at least 36 in above the cooking surface.

Can I use it over a charcoal grill or kamado?

Delta Heat does not recommend it over solid fuel fired appliances.

Warranty

Delta Heat warrants the vent hood for two years against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use (part repaired or replaced; owner pays labor, shipping and handling), with a one-year full warranty on the hood and all components serviced by an authorized Delta Heat representative. A 90-day warranty applies to residential-plus uses such as inns and private clubs; commercial use is excluded. Return the registration card within 30 days to activate coverage.
