The Dimplex Opti-Myst Aura (3STEP-RGB-AM) is a built-in water vapor fireplace that creates a 3D flame and smoke effect from cold water vapor and LED light, with no fuel, venting or open flame. The same unit installs as a one, two or three-sided fireplace, and a pull-out front drawer makes refilling the water tank simple without plumbing. It suits a living room, bedroom or room divider in an apartment where the most realistic electric flame is the goal.

Installation Notes
The Aura is not watertight, so install it away from showers, tubs and sinks, and do not add water until the unit is secured in place. Dimplex says not to use this fireplace outdoors. If the unit will sit unused for more than two weeks, empty and drain it. This is an electric unit with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it a practical choice for New York City apartments, condos and townhouses where gas or vented fireplaces are not an option. Hardwiring or any new circuit should be done by a licensed electrician to local code. Book a free design consultation and we will help you plan the layout, utilities and installation.
