The Dimplex Ignite Aspire ASP36 is a 36-inch built-in electric firebox with a traditional hearth look: rhythmic inner-glow logs on a bed of tumbled glass embers behind a deep viewing area. It is for remodels, mantels and custom surrounds where gas or wood is not an option. One firebox converts to a front, left-corner, right-corner or bay installation, and the Comfort$aver heater can be switched off for flame-only use all year.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: firebox, front and side glass, tumbled glass embers, gravel, glass chunks, 10 logs, sill trim, kick plate, top grill, remote with wall mount and AAA batteries, 120V plug kit and hardware kit
- Required: a framed opening of 36-3/4 x 44 x 18 in.; the unit is not load-bearing
- Required: a dedicated, properly fused 15 A circuit at 120V or 240V, wired by a licensed electrician
- Optional: the 36 inch trim kit 500003784, selectable in the options above, needed to convert to a corner or bay layout
Installation Notes
Two people are needed to install the firebox. Frame the opening to the dimensions above, keep the heater inlet and outlet clear, and run a dedicated circuit; the plug kit is only for 120V. The firebox is not for outdoor use. No gas line or vent is required. Electrical work should be done by a licensed electrician; book a design consultation and we will plan the wall, circuit and finish with you.

Can I plug it into a wall outlet?
Yes at 120V. The included plug kit is for 120V installations only and needs a grounded outlet; 240V must be hardwired.
Can I use it without heat?
Yes. The heater can be turned off temporarily or permanently while the flame effect keeps running.
Do I need the trim kit?
Not for a front-facing install. The convertible trim kit is needed for left-corner, right-corner or bay installations.
Can I mount a TV above it?
Yes, following Dimplex overhang guidance: surfaces 10 in. above stay at or below 40 C in normal heat mode. Check your TV maker's limits too.
