The Dimplex Ignite Ultra 50 inch is a linear electric fireplace built for a front, corner or bay installation, with the Dynamic-Fire flame effect and Rhythmic inner glow logs that pulse in step with the flames. It burns no fuel, needs no chimney or gas line, and gives a wide, realistic fire in a firebox only 14-1/2 inches deep.

It suits a media wall, a feature wall or a living room or bedroom where you want a long, low flame picture with optional supplemental heat. Hardwire it at 120 V or 240 V, or plug it in at 120 V.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

• Included (per manual): 6 logs, Multi-Fire flicker rod, reflective glass with bracket, front glass and two side glasses, tumbled glass embers, gravel and glass chunks, sill trim, top grille, open-side brackets and trims, remote with wall mount and batteries, plug kit, hardware kit and the user and installation guide
• Choose your ember bed media and log set from the options on this page; the media you select changes the look of the fire bed. Add-ons: ember bed media, faux wood log set and tumbled glass ember bed
• Required: a framed opening to the dimensions above and a 120 V or 240 V supply. A dedicated, properly fused 15 A circuit is recommended in the manual
• Optional: finishing materials around the opening. Extension cords are not permitted

Installation Notes

This is an electric appliance with no gas or vent, so installation is a framing, electrical and finishing job. Frame the opening to the dimensions above, run a 120 V or 240 V supply to the connection at the top right of the firebox, and have a licensed electrician make the final connection, with a permit where your jurisdiction requires one. Check the clearances in the manual before you place a TV, mantel or shelf above the unit. We install in NYC, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. Frequently Asked Questions

Does it really heat a room?

Yes, as supplemental heat. The Comfort$aver heater is rated for up to 1,000 sq ft at 1,500 W (120 V) or 2,500 W (240 V), and you can run the flames with the heat off all year.

Can I plug it in?

At 120 V it can use the power cord or be hardwired. A 240 V installation must be hardwired. Extension cords are not allowed.

Can I put a TV above it?

Surfaces 10 inches above the unit stay at or below 40 C in normal heat mode when the air openings are clear. Check your TV maker's heat limit and the manual's clearances first.

Can it go in a corner or bay?

Yes. It installs front facing, in a left or right corner or in a bay, using the open-side brackets and trims supplied.

Warranty

Per the Dimplex manual: five-year limited warranty from the original purchase date, with on-site or in-home service, covering the continental United States (plus DC) and most of Canada. Trims and accessory packages are excluded, and the warranty is non-transferable.
