Dimplex IgniteXL Bold 100-Inch Linear Indoor/Outdoor Electric Fireplace - XLF10017-XD

Overall Dimensions: 100-3/4" W x 12-1/8" D x 23-7/8" H

The Dimplex IgniteXL Bold 100 (XLF10017-XD) is a 100-inch built-in linear electric fireplace with a tall 16-1/4" viewing area and a mirrored interior that makes the Multi-Fire XD flame look far deeper than the box. It suits a great room, a commercial lobby or a long room-divider wall. The reason to choose it is flexibility: one unit installs front-facing, left or right corner, or as a three-sided bay, and several units can be linked into one continuous fire.

Installation Notes

Frame the opening to the table above; the same opening works for front, corner and bay, but side panels and finishing details change, so settle the configuration first. Route power to the top right back corner of the firebox, and keep building weight off the top of the unit. For mounting height, Dimplex recommends the bottom of the fireplace sit 20" to 40" above the floor. Dimplex lists the Ignite Bold line as certified for covered outdoor spaces; confirm the outdoor rating for your unit and follow the current Dimplex outdoor instructions before planning an exterior wall. Indoors, as an electric unit with no gas line or vent, it is a practical choice for New York City apartments and townhouses. Electrical work belongs with a licensed electrician; book a design consultation and we will plan the framing, finish and circuit.

Warranty

Dimplex 5-year limited warranty with in-home parts and service for indoor installations, and 1-year limited warranty for covered outdoor installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the IgniteXL Bold 100 be installed as a corner or three-sided fireplace?

Yes. Remove one side panel for a left or right corner, or both for a bay. The framing opening stays the same for all of them.

Can I join two units together?

Yes. The XLFXDLINK linking bracket connects multiple IgniteXL Bold units into one continuous run.

Should I wire it for 120V or 240V?

The flame is the same. 240V gives 2,500 W and 8,530 BTU of heat versus 1,500 W on 120V. If you want ambiance with occasional heat, 120V with the plug kit is the simplest route.

Can it go outdoors?

Dimplex certifies Ignite Bold for covered outdoor spaces with a 1-year outdoor warranty. It is not for exposed, uncovered locations.
