Installation Notes
Frame the opening at 49-1/2 in W x 24-1/4 in H with at least 11-5/8 in of depth. The unit is not load-bearing, so keep framing off the top, and do not use an extension cord. For outdoor use Dimplex requires a location sheltered by an overhang with height no more than 3 times its projection, and recommends a ground-fault protected circuit. This is an electric unit with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it a practical choice for New York City apartments, condos and townhouses where gas or vented fireplaces are not an option. Hardwiring or any new circuit should be done by a licensed electrician to local code. Book a free design consultation and we will help you plan the layout, utilities and installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install it in a corner or bay?
Yes. Remove the side panels to suit a front, left corner, right corner or bay installation. The framing dimensions stay the same.
Can I link more than one unit?

Is it rated for outdoor use?
Yes, for covered areas. Dimplex requires an overhang shelter and a height-to-projection ratio of 3 or less to keep warranty coverage.
Does it need a plug or hardwiring?
It is designed to be hardwired to 120V or 240V. A 120V plug kit is sold separately by Dimplex.
