- We allow returns on all new, unused, unassembled, and "resalable" items in their original packaging within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund (minus the original shipping costs, and the shipping costs you incur shipping the product back). The Dimplex IgniteXL Bold 60 is a 60-inch built-in linear electric fireplace with a multi-layered flame that creates real depth and a 16-inch-tall viewing area. It installs front-facing, as a left or right corner unit, or as a bay, and Dimplex offers a linking bracket to join several units into one long feature. It suits owners who want a statement fireplace without a vent or gas line, indoors or under a covered outdoor roof.

- Required: a dedicated, properly fused 15 A circuit at 120V or 240V, wired at the top right back corner of the firebox
- Optional: the XLFXDPLUG plug kit (120V only) and XLFXDLINK linking bracket are Dimplex accessories sold separately
- Media options on this page include driftwood, river rock and black rock sets; the faux wood split log set is also sold separately
Installation Notes
No vent or gas line is required. Frame the opening at 62-1/4" W x 24-1/4" H with at least 11-5/8" of depth, route power to the top right back corner, and keep the framing from bearing on the unit because it is not load-bearing. Do not use an extension cord, and have a licensed electrician handle new circuits. For outdoor use Dimplex requires a location sheltered by an overhang. Can I install it in a corner or bay?
Yes. Remove the side panels to suit a front, left corner, right corner or bay installation, and the framing dimensions stay the same.
Can I link more than one unit?
Dimplex offers the XLFXDLINK bracket for modular installations, so several units can form one longer fireplace.
Is it rated for outdoor use?
Yes, for covered areas. The Dimplex manual requires an overhang shelter and a height-to-projection ratio of 3 or less to keep warranty coverage.
Does it need a plug or hardwiring?
It is designed to be hardwired to 120V or 240V. A 120V plug kit is available separately from Dimplex.

Warranty
Dimplex provides a 5-year limited warranty for indoor installations, including parts and in-home service, and a 1-year limited warranty for outdoor installations. Trims and accessory packages are excluded.
