The EcoSmart Fire Linear 50 is a linear fire pit kit built around an XL900 burner and black glass charcoal, for a long, clean flame set into a non-combustible surface. It runs on e-NRG bioethanol with no gas line or wiring, and a gas LP/NG version is offered for outdoor installs. It suits a patio table, hearth or terrace feature where you want design freedom and a built-in look.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required for ethanol: e-NRG bioethanol fuel and a non-combustible, level installation surface
- Required for indoor ethanol use: the Indoor Safety Tray (EcoSmart does not allow indoor operation without it)
Installation Notes
Bioethanol burns without a flue, but fire codes and building rules still apply, so confirm that an ethanol appliance is acceptable in your building or co-op before ordering. Build the cutout to the dimensions above and verify the appliance against them before you start. Use only e-NRG bioethanol in the ethanol versions, let the burner cool at least 60 minutes before refueling, and do not operate the unit without its glass windscreen. The LP and NG version is for outdoor use only. In New York City natural gas lines are run by a licensed master plumber under permit, and propane cylinders are restricted in many buildings. Can I use it indoors?
The ethanol version is rated for indoor and outdoor use, but indoors it needs the Indoor Safety Tray and at least 3,884 cu ft of room volume per burner. The gas version is outdoor only.
What cutout do I need?
EcoSmart's installation manual lists a cutout of 1,167 mm x 402 mm x 167 mm (45.9 in x 15.8 in x 6.6 in).
How long does a tank burn?
The 9 L tank burns about 8 to 13 hours at maximum.
Does it need a gas line?
Not on the ethanol versions. The LP/NG version needs a licensed professional, and in NYC a licensed master plumber under permit.

Warranty
Per the EcoSmart operations manual, stainless steel parts, including black ceramic coated parts, carry a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, and mild steel and other listed materials carry 1 year. Chips and scratches are not covered, and installations in heavy snow areas need the Winter Bag to keep coverage. Our current listing states 12 months, so confirm the terms that apply to your order.
