The Firegear Sanctuary 39 is a round glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) gas fire bowl with a stainless steel disc burner and pan, rated at 65,000 BTU. It is a finished, ready-to-set fire feature for a patio, deck or poolside: place it on a level non-combustible surface, connect gas, add media and light it. Pick one of four colors and one of three ignition systems, from a simple match-lit key valve to a remote-controlled electronic system.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: 39 in GFRC bowl, round flat disc burner system, cradle pan, flex line, shut-off valve and key, ignition system, valve mounting plate, handheld remote (AWEIS only), weather cover and user's manual.
- Required: decorative media (lava rock, lava stones or fire glass), a gas supply and a licensed installer. For AWEIS, a 120 V power source; within 5 ft of a pool or spa an FG-PS30V320 power supply is required.
- Propane: a conversion kit is available for MT and TPSI models; AWEIS is sold as separate natural gas and propane versions.
Installation Notes
Set the bowl on a level, flat, stable, non-combustible surface, not on grass, dirt or rocks, and do not block the base ventilation or drains. Cover the burner with media no more than 1 in deep over the burner ports, and never cover the pilot hood. Firegear's manual lists 57 lb of Firegear lava rock for this bowl; fire glass and lava stone quantities are in the media guide linked below. This is an outdoor decorative gas appliance. In New York City, whether and how it can be installed depends on the NYC Fuel Gas Code, FDNY rules and DOB permitting, and the approval path must be confirmed for each site before purchase. Book a design consultation and we will confirm what your location allows.
Warranty
Per Firegear's 2021 limited warranty for residential use, the Sanctuary GFRC structure is covered for three (3) years, with burner systems covered under their own terms: stainless steel and brass burners and pans for life, gas valve, spark igniter and pilot assemblies for five (5) years, and AWEIS electronic ignition systems for five (5) years. The earlier listing quoted a 5-year residential and 1-year commercial warranty; we use Firegear's published terms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which ignition should I choose?
Match Throw is the simplest and has no electrical connection. TPSI runs on batteries and lights without a lighter. AWEIS lights with a handheld remote and needs 120 V power, which suits commercial spaces.
Natural gas or propane?
MT and TPSI models can be converted to propane with a kit. AWEIS has no conversion kit, so choose the natural gas or propane version when you order.
How much media do I need?
Firegear's manual specifies 57 lb of lava rock for this bowl, and the listing gives fire glass and lava stone amounts. Keep media within 1 in above the burner ports.
Can I put it on a wood deck?
Firegear specifies a level, stable, non-combustible surface and clearances from combustibles, including 15 1/2 in to a combustible floor from the pan. Confirm your deck and local code with us.
