The Trade-Wind VSL4721222RC is a 72 in. range hood liner from the VSL 400 series, made to install inside a custom wood hood or cabinet over an indoor range. It is an indoor product and is not rated for outdoor use.
A 1,200 CFM internal blower with three speeds, four LED lights, dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters, electronic touch controls and a remote control come built in. Commercial #304 stainless steel and galvanized steel construction keeps it durable, and rubber-mounted motors help keep it quiet.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: VSL4721222RC liner with internal 1,200 CFM blower, LED lights, baffle filters and remote control (stored behind the right side filter)
- Required: a custom wood hood or cabinet with structural framing and backing, 10 in. metal duct vented outdoors and a wall or roof cap
- Optional: back-draft damper and duct silencer (not included)
Installation Notes
Build the wood hood with framing and tight backing where the liner is fastened, and cut the opening at least 1/8 in. larger than the liner. Mount the bottom of the liner 30 to 36 in. above the cooking surface (24 in. minimum), duct it outdoors with metal duct, and wire it on a dedicated 15 to 20 A circuit. This liner is for indoor kitchens only. In New York City buildings, new exhaust ducts and roof or wall penetrations usually need building and code review, so confirm the duct route with your building before ordering. Book a design consultation to plan the hood, duct route and power.

No. The VSL4721222RC is an indoor range hood liner and is not rated for outdoor use. For an outdoor grill, choose a Trade-Wind L7200 or S7200CD model.

Trade-Wind recommends 30 to 36 in. above the cooking surface, with 24 in. as the minimum.

Warranty
Trade-Wind limited warranty, per the VSL 400 installation guide: 3 years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original user, with Trade-Wind repairing or replacing the unit or defective components at its option. Damage from improper installation, undersized ducting or unauthorized repairs is excluded.
