Description

Available Sizes: Dimplex Optimyst Linear

46" | 66" (Current Size) | 86"

Overall Dimensions: 67-1/2 in W x 31-1/2 in H x 11-7/8 in D

The Dimplex Optimyst Linear OLF66-AM is a 66-inch built-in water vapor fireplace: an ultrasonic mist lit by multicolor LEDs rises through the media bed and reads as real flame and smoke, yet the glass stays cool to the touch. It is the linear water vapor fireplace for a media wall or a modern living room where gas venting is not possible.

It installs into an existing wall or new construction, runs on 120V or 240V, and adds fan-forced supplemental heat when you want it.

Features

  • Patented Optimyst water vapor flame and smoke effect with multicolor LED lighting
  • Cool-to-the-touch glass: the flame produces no heat
  • Wi-Fi control through the Dimplex Flame Connect app, plus remote control
  • Supplemental heat: 5,050 BTU at 120V / 7,438 BTU at 240V
  • Direct-wire 120/240V, or 120V plug-in with the optional plug kit
  • Optional plumbing kit (CDFIPLUMB-KIT) for a continuous water supply instead of refilling
  • Optional RMGW air intake grille

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: Optimyst Linear firebox and remote
  • Optional by variant: 120V plug kit, CDFIPLUMB-KIT continuous water supply kit, RMGW air intake grille
  • You will need: a framed opening to the dimensions above and a dedicated 120V or 240V circuit (direct wire), or a 120V outlet with the plug kit
  • You will need: water for the reservoir (see the Dimplex guide for water quality), or a water line if you add the plumbing kit

Installation Notes

Frame the wall to the opening above and run power before finishing. Direct wiring and any 240V circuit should be installed by a licensed electrician. A water vapor fireplace needs no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it practical for NYC apartments and condos. If you add the plumbing kit, a plumber connects the water supply; keep the air intake path clear as shown in the installation guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the flame give off heat?

No. The vapor flame is cool. The separate fan-forced heater adds supplemental heat when you switch it on.

How is the water supplied?

From a refillable reservoir as standard. The optional CDFIPLUMB-KIT connects a continuous water line so you never refill.

120V or 240V?

Both are supported. 240V gives more heat output; 120V can use the optional plug kit for plug-in installation.
