The Dimplex Optimyst RGB Cassette (CDFI500-PRO-RGB) is a 20 inch drop-in water vapor fireplace that makes a 3D flame from fine mist and RGB LED light. Beyond the natural flame, it can run blue, violet, red or aquamarine themes or a prism mode that cycles colors, which suits custom joinery, coffee tables, hospitality features and architectural insets. Surfaces stay cool to the touch, it needs no venting, and it is flame only with no heater. Multiple cassettes can run in series for a longer linear feature.

Installation Notes

Choose a spot away from drafts, vents and ceiling fans, which disturb the flame. Frame the opening to Dimplex's dimensions, keep the air path to the fresh air inlet clear, and keep at least 16 in above the media. The unit is not watertight and is for indoor use only; in a bathroom it must be GFCI protected and kept away from tubs. In New York City, direct-wired connections should be made by a licensed electrician and any plumbed water line by a licensed plumber. Book a free design consultation and we will help you plan the opening, media and controls.
