The Dimplex Opti-Myst Pro 1500 (GBF1500-PRO) is a 60-inch built-in water vapor firebox that can be installed single-sided or converted to see-through. Ultrasonic Opti-myst cassettes create a fine mist that LEDs light into flames and smoke, with no gas, venting or chimney.

Remove the included high-gloss backer panel and add the rear glass pane to open the view between two rooms; the heater warms one side.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: firebox with Opti-myst cassettes, removable backer panel, flame spacers and slots, media tray and multi-function remote
  • Optional by variant: Dimplex glowing log set or driftwood log kit, GBF1500-GLASS rear glass pane for see-through, CDFIPLUMB-KIT plumbing kit
  • You will need: a framed recess and a dedicated 120V direct-wire circuit
  • You will need: water for the cassette reservoir (see the Dimplex manual for water quality), or a water line with the plumbing kit

Installation Notes

Frame the recess to the Dimplex installation manual, run a dedicated 120V circuit for direct wiring by a licensed electrician, and plan water access if you add the plumbing kit. There is no gas, venting or chimney, so the Pro 1500 works in NYC apartments and between rooms in a renovation. For see-through, remove the backer panel and install the rear glass pane.

How do I make it see-through?

Does it heat both rooms?

No. The heater warms one side, even with the backer panel removed.

Do I have to refill water?

The cassettes use a refillable supply as standard. The optional CDFIPLUMB-KIT connects a continuous water line.
