The EcoSmart Fire Chaser 38 is a square Fluid Concrete fire table designed with a lip around the fire that leaves room for drinks or small plates, so it works as a side or coffee table. Choose Natural, Graphite or Bone, then the fuel: an AB8 bioethanol burner that needs no gas line or venting, in stainless steel or black ceramic, or a stainless burner for propane or plumbed natural gas rated up to 65,000 BTU/h. Two optional glass fire screens let you match the placement: a raised circular screen inside a sofa layout, or a recessed square screen in the middle of a space.

Installation Notes

Level the table with its feet, keep the burner base away from flammable materials, and keep the listed clearances, especially from anything that can move in the wind. A fire screen, if fitted, does not reduce the minimum clearances. Use the burner lid when the fire is off. Gas models are for outdoor use only. In New York City, gas work must be done by a licensed master plumber under a DOB permit, and propane tank storage in the city carries FDNY rules, so confirm the fuel with us before you order. Can I use the Chaser 38 indoors?

Only the ethanol version, with the additional indoor parts and a room of at least 4,096 cu ft. Gas versions are outdoor only.

Which fire screen should I choose?

EcoSmart suggests the raised circular screen inside a sofa layout and the recessed square screen when the table sits in the center of a space.

Is the black burner available on gas?

On this listing the black burner is offered with bioethanol only; gas versions use the stainless burner.

How heavy is it?

About 182.7 lb including the burner and media, so plan for two or more people to place it.

Warranty

Per the EcoSmart operations manual, the transferable limited warranty is two years from purchase on stainless steel parts, including black ceramic coated, and one year on mild steel, cement, glass, leather, fabric, teak and MDF. Chips, scratches and non-structural hairline cracks in Fluid Concrete are not covered. Where snow is likely to accumulate, the winter cover is required to keep coverage.
