The Orion V2 Slim is Modern Flames' second-generation virtual LCD fireplace, built to slide into a standard 2x6 wall in sizes from 52 to 100 inches. It is for homeowners and designers who want a long, clean linear flame without gas, venting or a deep chase, and Modern Flames has tested and approved it for covered outdoor installation. The flame is the reason to buy it: a next-generation LCD with adaptive brightness, a real split-wood log set over an active ember bed, and a flame library that keeps growing through the Modern Flames+ app.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: fireplace, remote control with batteries, lit log set, crushed glass, wood chips and twigs, wall mount bracket, side skirt, cover plate, strain relief, drywall anchors, screws and glass suction cups.
- Size: choose 52, 60, 76 or 100 inch above.
- Optional TruWood Premium Timber Kit: selecting "With TruWood" adds the size-matched TruWood Premium Slim Timber Kit (TWS-44/52-SP, TWS-56/60-SP, TWS-68/76-SP or TWS-80/100-SP).
- Surround trim kits are not offered for the Slim; it finishes clean-face or self-trimming.
- You will need: a dedicated 120V, 20 amp circuit at the opening, framing built to the opening dimensions above, and for outdoor use, a weather-protected built-in location.
Installation Notes
The Orion V2 Slim plugs into a 120V outlet or can be hardwired by a qualified electrician; either way it needs its own 20 amp breaker. Keep drapes, furniture and other combustibles at least 36 in. away. For outdoor installs, Modern Flames approves built-in installation only, under a patio cover and out of direct water and direct sunlight: the roof overhang and the side distance must each be at least 50 percent of the height measured from the bottom of the fireplace, and the base must sit at least 2 in. above the floor. In New York City apartments and brownstones the 5-3/4 in. body is often the deciding factor, since it fits a furred-out wall without a bump-out. We can measure your wall and plan power and framing during an design consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Orion V2 Slim fit in a standard wall?
Yes. It is engineered for 2x6 framing and needs a 6 in. minimum opening depth for a self-trimming install, or 6-1/2 in. for a built-in clean face.
Can I mount a TV above it?
Yes. Modern Flames requires 11.8 in. from the top of the glass to a TV, mantel or ceiling.
Can it go outside?
Yes, built in under a covered patio that meets the overhang and side-protection rules in the manual. Wall-mounted outdoor installs are not approved.
Does it need a special circuit?
It runs on standard 120V power but needs a dedicated 20 amp breaker. It ships with a plug and can be hardwired.

Warranty
Modern Flames limited warranty: 5 years from the date of purchase when the product is registered with Modern Flames, or the standard 2 years if it is not registered. If the product has an integrated screen, the screen is covered for 1 year. A labor credit of up to $100 for one service is available in the first year. Coverage applies only to products bought through an authorized Modern Flames dealer, is not transferable, and does not extend to consumable service parts. The standard warranty applies to outdoor installations only when installed per the manual's outdoor requirements.
