The Napoleon Ascent Linear 56 is a wide single-sided direct vent gas fireplace with a 51-3/4 in. x 16-3/4 in. viewing area, made for a modern feature wall. Edge-to-edge ceramic glass, a CRYSTALINE ember bed with topaz crushed glass and a pre-wired wall switch give it a clean linear flame, and the Outdoor Room Certified badge and TV-friendly design make it flexible in a new build or renovation.

Frame to the dimensions above, follow the vent run limits, and check the rating plate for the clearances to combustibles that apply to your unit. Gas, electrical and venting work must be done by a licensed installer. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces must meet the NYC Fuel Gas Code and need a permitted installation. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the BL56 need a vent kit?
Yes. A Napoleon-approved direct vent kit is required and sold separately. The right kit depends on whether you terminate through a wall or the roof.
What happens in a power outage?
The unit has a USB battery backup system. Napoleon does not include the power bank, so plan to supply one.
Can it be converted to propane?
Yes. The manual says the BL56 is field convertible with a certified conversion kit from an authorized dealer.
