The Napoleon Rosedale 3 electric insert (NEFB29H-MF) turns an unused wood-burning fireplace or a framed wall opening into a working fireplace without a gas line, liner or chimney work. Multi-layer flames in orange and yellow rise through a hand-finished oak log set, with a 28-3/8 x 17-11/16 in. viewing area.
It heats at 1,500 watts on 120V or 3,000 watts hardwired at 240V, up to 10,000 BTU, with ECO and BOOST modes, 13 top light and 5 ember bed colors, a premium remote, the Napoleon Home app and voice control.

Installation Notes
For an existing wood-burning fireplace, clean the firebox, remove grates and log retainers and confirm the opening is at least 29 in. W x 21 in. H x 12-1/2 in. D; a backerplate then covers the gap up to the sizes listed above. For new construction, frame to the wall or corner dimensions on the Napoleon spec sheet. Close the chimney damper against drafts, and keep the mantel clearances in the manual. Electric fireplaces need no gas line, venting or chimney work, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and condos; confirm any hardwired 240V circuit or recessed wall work with your building and a licensed electrician. Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my fireplace?
The NEFB29H-MF needs an opening at least 29 in. W x 21 in. H x 12-1/2 in. D. Measure your firebox and compare it with the backerplate sizes before ordering.
Do I need a backerplate?
It is optional but recommended for insert installations, to cover the gap between the insert and the masonry.
Can it plug into a regular outlet?
Yes, at 120V and 1,500 W on a dedicated 15 A circuit. For the full 3,000 W heat, hardwire it at 240V.
Does the chimney need work?
No venting is needed, but the damper should be closed to keep drafts and debris out.

Warranty
Napoleon Electric Appliance 5 Year Limited Warranty, per the Rosedale manual (W415-10005767): electrical components and wearable parts, including fan/heaters, motors, switches, nylon bearing components, remote controls and LED lights, are covered with replacement parts free of charge for the first 5 years from the date of original installation. After the first year Napoleon does not cover installation or labour. Light bulbs and fuses are not covered, and the warranty is for the original purchaser buying through an authorized Napoleon dealer.
