Mountain Timber logs with Ember Supreme burner, natural gas only, high-capacity millivolt pilot and wall switch. The 42″/48″ listing uses a working log-size selector on the 42″ burner. Log counts, burner size/input and fireplace fit differ; verify each model’s installation requirements. Burner certification is identified in the existing specifications.

The Hargrove 60 in Mountain Timber Large Vented Log Set pairs Mountain Timber refractory logs, with their gnarled shapes and high-country timber paint scheme, with the Ember Supreme burner, an oversized single burner built for a taller, fuller body of flame. This kit uses a factory-installed high-capacity millivolt safety pilot with a wall switch. It is a natural gas set for a large masonry or wood-burning fireplace with a fully open flue.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required: a vented, non-combustible fireplace designed and approved to burn wood, with a fully open damper, a clear chimney and a natural gas supply
- Required: a fire screen in place when burning; glass doors must stay fully open while the logs burn
- Required: installation by personnel qualified to install gas appliances
Installation Notes
Vented logs burn with a yellow, smoky flame that produces carbon monoxide and soot, which must exit the chimney, so the damper has to stay open and the flue clear. Do not use a natural gas set on propane. Because Hargrove lists the Ember Supreme burner as NON CERTIFIED, confirm approval with your building and gas inspector before purchase, particularly in New York City, where gas work is done by licensed trades under permit. Book a design consultation and we will measure the opening and check the flue with you.

Can it run on propane?
Not this kit. Hargrove lists the Large Series Mountain Timber on natural gas only.

The standing millivolt pilot stays lit, and the wall switch turns the main burner on and off.
Will it fit my firebox?
Hargrove does not publish minimum fireplace sizes on the Ember Supreme spec sheet. Send us your front width, back width and depth and we will confirm fit.

Warranty
Per Hargrove's limited warranty in its vented log guides: refractory logs carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects or breakage when installed indoors; burner and grate for five (5) years; valves, remote controls and switching devices for two (2) years; other parts for two (2) years. Outdoor applications carry a one (1) year limited warranty. Breakage from handling the logs after they have been fired is not covered.
