Features

  • Heavy-gauge stainless steel griddle plate
  • Two locater pins engage the slots in Hestan cooking grates
  • Front grease gutter for high-fat foods
  • Lifts off for cleaning once cool
  • Only one griddle plate per grill (Hestan)

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Hestan AGGP griddle plate
  • You will need: a Hestan or Aspire by Hestan gas grill

Installation Notes

Set the plate flat on the grates with its pins in the grate slots; if the pins do not engage, turn the grates the same way or push them closer together. Do not use it over a sear burner, never use more than one plate in a grill, and let grill and plate cool fully before removing it (Hestan instructions). As a starting point, Hestan says HIGH for 10 minutes with the lid down brings the plate to about 350 F.

In New York City, terrace and rooftop outdoor kitchens in multifamily buildings usually need building or board approval, and any gas or plumbing run through the island must be done by licensed trades.
