The TrueFlame AMD-IM-15N is a 15 in. outdoor rated nugget ice maker that makes up to 50 lb of soft, chewable nugget ice a day and holds 25 lb in its bin. It slides into an outdoor kitchen island next to the grill or bar so you are not running inside for ice.

It is a gravity drain unit, so it needs a water line and a drain line below the unit, plus a standard grounded 110V outlet. Front venting allows a flush built-in installation, and the stainless steel door and handle match the rest of an AMD Direct outdoor kitchen.

Installation Notes

Plan the water supply, drain and outlet before the island is finished. Both drains work by gravity, so the unit must sit above the drain connection with the hoses unkinked; AMD recommends insulating the water and drain lines, an inline water filter, and a pressure-reducing valve where supply pressure is high. Let the unit stand upright about 24 hours before plugging it in, and keep the front vent clear. In New York City, adding an outdoor outlet, water line or drain on a terrace or rooftop is work for licensed trades and often needs building or board approval. AMD Direct refrigeration warranty for 15 in. and 24 in. models, per the TrueFlame and AMD Direct warranty printed in the owner's manual: 3 years on all construction, including the compressor, and 1 year on the transformer, LED bulbs, LED harness, power source wire, LED switches and interior light wire and bulbs. Coverage is for the original purchaser at the original delivery site, requires online registration within 30 days of purchase, covers replacement parts only (no labor), and does not apply to commercial, rental or nonresidential installations or to discoloration, surface rust or corrosion.
