The XO Performance XLT2 40 inch is a four-burner freestanding gas grill on a matching stainless steel cart with fold-down side shelves and locking casters. Four tubular stainless burners put out 68,000 BTU over 872 sq in of cooking area, and the infrared rear burner is ready for XO's optional rotisserie kit. It is built for a patio that needs a full-size grill that can be placed where you want it, without building an island.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: the XO Performance XLT2 40 inch grill head, the matching XO cart, the lighting transformer and the gas regulator for the fuel you choose (natural gas models include a regulator and a 1/2 in brass connection).
- Optional on this page: the XO rotisserie kit (outdoor-rated motor, spit, poultry forks and counterweight) and a fitted cover.
- Optional: XO Performance XLT freestanding side burner that bolts to the cart.
- Required: a gas supply matching the version ordered and an outdoor 120 V GFI outlet within reach. Propane cylinders are not included.
Installation Notes
XO says to use the grill only outdoors, never in enclosed spaces such as garages, porches or breezeways, never under unprotected overhead construction, and never on elevated patios or decks. Keep 14 in clear at the sides and below and 16 in to the rear from combustible construction, and position a freestanding grill so the prevailing wind hits the control panel side. Gas connections should be made by a qualified installer. Many New York City terraces, roofs and decks fall under the elevated-surface warning, and propane cylinder use there is heavily restricted, so check your site before ordering. Frequently Asked Questions
Is the rotisserie included?
Not by default. The rear infrared burner is built in, and XO's rotisserie kit with motor, spit, poultry forks and counterweight is a selectable option on this page.
Can I build this grill into an island later?
XO lists the 40 inch head as built-in or freestanding with the optional cart, and publishes cutout sizes. Ask our team to confirm the cutout for your model first, because the spec sheet table carries a different model label.
Natural gas or propane?
Choose the fuel when ordering. The regulators are not interchangeable: natural gas runs at 4 in W.C. and propane at 11 in W.C. Natural gas is usually the practical choice in New York City, where propane cylinder use is heavily restricted.
Does it need electricity?
The Flame Thrower ignition does not, but the halogen and LED lighting run through the included transformer and need an outdoor 120 V GFI outlet.

Warranty
Per XO's limited warranty for residential use: lifetime on the stainless steel main burners and fabricated stainless steel housing; five years on briquette trays, stainless steel grates, drip pans and gas valves; two years on all other grill components; and one year on parts plus pre-authorized service labor.
