The Lynx Asado L30AG-LP is a 30-inch built-in flat top cooktop for an outdoor kitchen, with a 495 square inch cooking plate made of aluminum layers sandwiched between two stainless steel sheets. Two Trident infrared burners heat two fully independent zones, so you can sear on one side and hold eggs, vegetables or tortillas on the other. It is the piece to add beside a grill when you want breakfast, smash burgers, fajitas and seafood that would fall through grates, set at the factory for propane.

Installation Notes
The Asado drops into a non-combustible island; a combustible enclosure needs the LIJ30 insulated jacket, supported by a ledge on each side or a full deck. The Asado manual calls for 12 in. of clearance to combustible construction below the countertop and 18 in. from the sides and back above it. Do not install under unprotected overhead combustible construction; under a combustible roof the cooking area must be covered by an exhaust hood that overhangs it by 3 in. on all exposed sides. Propane inlet pressure is 14 in. w.c. maximum and 11 in. w.c. minimum under full load. In New York City, propane cylinder use on terraces and rooftops is heavily restricted by the FDNY, so most city installs use the natural gas model. To plan the island and fuel supply, book a design consultation with our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Asado a griddle or a grill?
It is a flat top cooktop: a solid multi-layer plate over two Trident infrared burners. It replaces grates with a continuous surface for foods that need full contact or would fall through.
Can I run the two zones at different temperatures?
Yes. Each zone has its own Trident burner and control, so one side can be on high while the other is low or off.
Can I convert it to natural gas later?
Conversion must be done by a qualified technician with the correct Lynx kit; ask us before ordering. We also carry the factory natural gas version, the L30AG-NG.
Does it need electricity?
Yes. Lynx requires a 120V/15A GFCI-protected outlet adjacent to the unit for the ignition and lighting.

Warranty
The Asado Cooktop is covered by the current Lynx Professional warranty (lynxgrills.com): one-year full warranty on the complete product, including parts and authorized labor pre-approved by Lynx; 90-day cosmetic warranty through the selling dealer; five-year limited warranty, parts only after year one, on components such as the manifolds, gas valves, ignitor and drip tray; lifetime limited warranty, parts only for the original purchaser, on the Trident burners and stainless components including the Asado griddle plate and control panel against rust-through that affects structural integrity. Multi-user settings get a 90-day Residential Plus warranty; restaurants and other commercial use are excluded.
