The Lynx LN15ICE is a 15 inch outdoor clear ice machine that makes up to 39 pounds of clear ice in 24 hours, built for covered outdoor kitchens where bagged ice gets old fast. It is CSA certified for outdoor use per Lynx, and the door can be reversed in the field to open the way your island needs. A close-door assist, audible alerts and cleaning reminders make daily use simple.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required: a potable cold water line with a shutoff valve, a drain (gravity, or the optional pump) and a grounded dedicated 15 A circuit

- Not recommended by Lynx: reverse osmosis, softened or deionized water supplies
Installation Notes
Plan the water, drain and power before the island is built. The machine needs a dedicated, grounded 15 A circuit with no extension cords or adapters, and the Lynx guide notes that GFCIs are prone to nuisance tripping so they are generally not used on this circuit unless local code requires one. Do not install it in direct sun, and keep ambient temperatures above 55 F. In New York City, the water and drain connections are plumbing work for a licensed plumber, and the dedicated circuit should be installed by a licensed electrician. Can I switch the door hinge?
Yes. The door is field-reversible and the owner's guide includes reversing instructions.
Do I need a drain pump?
Not if the drain runs by gravity at no more than 6 in off the floor. A higher drain needs a pump, and Lynx offers the LN15ICE-DP.
Does it need a GFCI outlet?
The Lynx guide calls for a grounded dedicated 15 A circuit and says GFCIs are generally not used on it because of nuisance tripping, unless local code requires one. Your electrician should confirm.
How much ice does it make?
Up to 39 lb in 24 hours in normal mode and up to 29 lb in ECO mode, measured at 72 F ambient with 55 F water.

Warranty
Per the Lynx owner's guide: a one year full warranty on parts from the date of original retail purchase, a 90 day cosmetic warranty, and a two year limited warranty on sealed refrigeration parts (compressor, evaporator, condenser, connecting tubing and dryer or strainer), with labor paid by the owner in year two. A 90 day warranty applies to Residential Plus applications.
