This package pairs the Lynx x John Michael Studio 48-inch grill base cabinet (LYNX-GBFD-48) with your choice of Lynx 42-inch natural gas grill: Lynx Professional L42TR, Lynx Professional L42ATR, Sedona L701R, Sedona L701PSR. The cabinet is heavy-gauge 304 stainless steel with weather-seal gaskets, soft-close doors and adjustable feet, so the grill sits at counter height with a built-in look and no masonry island.

It suits terraces, rooftops and patios where a full island is not practical, or as the anchor of a modular Lynx kitchen. The cabinet comes in brushed stainless or one of eight Lynx Exclusive Color Finishes.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

The cabinet is freestanding furniture, but the grill inside is still a gas appliance: keep the clearances to combustible construction in the grill manual, do not install under an unprotected combustible overhang, and have the gas connection made by a licensed professional. In New York City natural gas work requires a licensed master plumber and permit, and the FDNY restricts propane cylinders on terraces and rooftops. Do I need a masonry island?

No. The John Michael cabinet is the base. The grill drops into it, so the package works on a terrace or patio without building an island.

Warranty

Per current listing, Lynx backs the John Michael Studio cabinetry and its grills with the Lynx manufacturer warranty, applied per component.

For Lynx Professional grills, the Lynx limited warranty covers the stainless steel grill body, ceramic burners, cooking grates, Trident infrared burner and rotisserie infrared burner for the lifetime of the original purchaser; warming racks, spit rods, briquette trays, manifolds and gas valves for five years; and all other grill components for two years. For the first year Lynx replaces or repairs defective parts at no cost, including authorized service labor. Coverage is for residential use in the United States and Canada; common-area and commercial installations carry different terms.
