This molded brick panel liner is the refractory interior for the Majestic Ashland 42 wood-burning fireplace. Majestic ships the panels separately from the fireplace, but they are required: they contain the heat of the fire and give the firebox its finished brick look. Choose a traditional running-bond or herringbone pattern in natural gray or firebrick yellow.

Installation Notes

Majestic warns never to burn the Ashland without its molded brick panels and to use only panels supplied by Hearth and Home Technologies. Small hairline cracks and discoloration are normal; replace a panel if cracks exceed 1/4 in wide, metal shows behind a panel, or large pieces fall out. Panel installation and replacement should be done by a qualified installer.

In New York City, new wood-burning fireplaces are heavily restricted, so confirm what your building and the Department of Buildings allow before planning an Ashland installation.

Is the liner required?

Yes. Majestic ships the molded brick panels separately, but the Ashland 42 must not be burned without them.
