The Majestic ENSEMBLE36NB is the Ensemble decorative barrier front for 36 in. Meridian direct vent gas fireplaces, New Bronze finish, with ClearVue mesh. It is a squared, tailored overlap front, and because it overlaps the face of the opening it hides the joint between the fireplace and the finished wall.

Every Meridian needs a decorative barrier front to keep hands off the hot glass. The Meridian, Meridian Platinum and Meridian Modern installation manuals all list the ENSEMBLE36 front and say the front must be ordered at the time of fireplace purchase.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

The front installs last, after the fireplace, venting and wall finish. Keep the gap between the bottom of the front and the top of the bottom surround, and do not raise flooring or hearth material above the top of the bottom surround, as the Meridian manual warns. Never operate the fireplace with the barrier removed. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required. Book a design consultation to choose the front, interior and finish together.

Is a front required?

Yes. The Meridian ships without a front, and Majestic says the decorative barrier front must be ordered at the time of fireplace purchase.

Will it fit a 42 in. Meridian?

No. This is the 36 in. size; Majestic makes a separate ENSEMBLE42 front.

What is overlap fit?

The front laps over the face of the fireplace opening rather than sitting inside it, which hides the joint between the unit and the wall finish. Majestic's Essence front is the inside-fit alternative.

Warranty

Hearth & Home Technologies limited warranty, per warranty table 4021-645 printed in the Majestic owner's manuals: purchased replacement parts and optional accessories are covered for 1 year, parts only. Coverage begins at installation, requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and applies while the product remains at its original installation site.
