The Majestic Biltmore 36 (SB60) is a radiant wood-burning fireplace with a tall 36 in. by 28-1/2 in. opening and a clean face design that lets stone or tile run right up to the firebox. It is the 36 in. size of the Biltmore series, built for homeowners who want a real masonry look from a factory-built, UL-listed fireplace.
Choose traditional brick (SB60) or herringbone brick (SB60HB) refractory. It vents through the SL1100 series chimney, comes with a safety firescreen, steel grate, outside air kit and attic insulation shield, and accepts optional bi-fold glass or Grand Vista mesh doors.

Installation Notes
The Biltmore 36 uses the SL1100 series chimney with 2 in. clearance to combustibles and building insulation, an outside air kit for combustion air, and a hearth extension installed exactly as the manual shows. Frame it at 45-1/2 in. wide, 59-3/4 in. high and 28 in. deep. A vented gas log set or log lighter can be added through the dual gas knockouts. HHT recommends NFI or CSIA certified installers. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell Majestic wood-burning fireplaces for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. Frequently Asked Questions
What chimney does the Biltmore 36 use?
The SL1100 series chimney in the US. In Canada it uses SL400 series pipe with the SLA10 adapter and a chimney air kit.
Can I install gas logs in it?
Yes. It has dual gas knockouts for a vented gas log set or a gas log lighter, installed per the manuals.
Are glass doors included?
No. Choose the DM6036 bi-fold glass doors or GV60BK Grand Vista mesh doors.
Can it go in New York City?
No. NYC does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we supply the Biltmore for projects outside the five boroughs.

Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the warranty table (4021-645K) in the Majestic owner's manual: for wood fireplaces, lifetime means 10 years. The firebox and heat exchanger carry the limited lifetime term with 3 years labor; HHT chimney and terminations 7 years with 3 years labor; castings and baffles 5 years with 1 year labor; molded refractory panels 3 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and applies while the fireplace stays at its original site.
