The Majestic Biltmore 42 (SB80) is a radiant wood-burning fireplace with a 42 in. wide by 28-1/2 in. high opening and a classic masonry look. Majestic describes the Biltmore line as the largest wood-burning fireplace in the industry, and its clean face design lets finishing materials run right up to the firebox opening.
Choose a traditional (SB80) or herringbone (SB80HB) refractory interior, then add one of three Majestic door styles. It can be set flush with the floor or on a raised hearth, which makes it a good fit for a new build or a major renovation outside the city.

Installation Notes
Frame the SB80 to 51-1/2 in. W x 59-3/4 in. H x 28-1/2 in. D, and follow the Majestic installation manual for chimney, clearances, mantel and hearth extension requirements. A wood-burning fireplace needs a properly sized chimney run through the roof, so it is best planned at framing stage with a qualified installer. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell Majestic wood-burning fireplaces for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. What is the difference between SB80 and SB80HB?
Only the refractory pattern. SB80 has the traditional brick pattern and SB80HB has herringbone; the firebox and dimensions are the same.
Does the Biltmore have to sit on a raised hearth?
No. Majestic lists the Biltmore for installation flush with the floor or on a raised hearth.
Which doors fit this model?
Majestic offers three door styles for the Biltmore in black. We carry the Grand Vista mesh doors (GV80BK) and bi-fold glass doors (DM8042) for the 42 in. size.
Can this be installed in New York City?
No. New wood-burning fireplaces are not permitted in the five boroughs under Local Law 38 of 2015. We supply the Biltmore for homes outside the city where local code allows it.

Warranty
Majestic wood fireplaces are covered by the Hearth & Home Technologies limited warranty, which begins at installation and transfers to later owners while the fireplace stays at its original site. The current HHT warranty table lists the firebox and heat exchanger of wood appliances at 20 years parts with 3 years labor, and all other parts at 1 year. Coverage requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and installation per the manual; overfiring voids the warranty.
