Installation Notes
The door kit installs after the fireplace is finished: remove the doors, set the frame in the opening with the hinges facing out, screw the top frame into the fireplace, adjust the bottom plate flush to the hearth, then rehang the doors. HHT warns that the kit is heavy and recommends two installers, and that combustible materials must not be placed on the metal fireplace face or columns. Wipe fingerprints off before the first fire so they do not bake into the finish. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell Majestic wood-burning fireplaces for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. Book a free design consultation and we will confirm the door fits your Castlewood and plan the installation.
