Kit: ducts fireplace heat outdoors, up to 25 ft (Majestic owner's manual); 6 in. round duct

The Majestic HEAT-OUT-GAS kit draws heat from a Majestic gas fireplace and sends it outside, up to 25 feet away, through 6 in. round duct to an exterior termination with a fan. It lets you enjoy the fire in mild weather without overheating the room.

It is a heat management option listed in the owner's manuals of Majestic gas fireplaces such as the Meridian series, is operated with the wall switch included in the kit, and must be installed by a qualified technician at the time the fireplace is installed.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: termination cap, 25 ft of 6 in. round duct, fireplace adapter, damper, wall switch and fan at termination, per current listing
  • Required: a compatible Majestic gas fireplace, for example the Meridian 42 or Meridian 36
  • Required: electrical service for the fan and switch, run by a licensed electrician

Installation Notes

Plan the Heat-Out at the same time as the fireplace: Majestic requires heat management systems to be installed by a qualified service technician at the time of appliance installation, and Section 6 of the appliance installation manual shows which heat management kits can be installed together. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required. Book a design consultation to plan the fireplace, duct route and termination.

Coverage requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and installation at the original site.
