Installation Notes
The Meridian 36 vents with Hearth & Home Technologies DVP or SLP pipe through a wall or roof, and a DVP-TRAP1 termination is required in some 2 x 4 exterior wall top-vent cases. Provide unswitched 110-120 VAC power and a gas line, and follow the framing, mantel and clearance tables in the installation manual. Majestic recommends HHT factory-trained or NFI certified installers. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Warranty
Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory components 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and lights 2 years; all other parts 1 year.
