Installation Notes
The Meridian must be installed by a qualified gas installer using Hearth & Home DVP or SLP venting within the manual's vent tables, with an unswitched 110 to 120 VAC GFCI circuit. In New York City, gas work requires a licensed master plumber and permits, and direct vent units like this are a common code-compliant choice. Frequently Asked Questions
How much heat does the Meridian 42 put out?
Majestic rates the MER42N at 19,000 to 35,000 BTU/h input and the MER42L at 17,000 to 34,000 BTU/h.
What vent pipe does it use?
Hearth & Home DVP or SLP direct vent pipe. SLP is smaller and needs less framing space (8-5/8 in. vs 10 in.).

Yes. The manual requires an unswitched 110 to 120 VAC circuit with GFCI protection for the IntelliFire Touch system.
Can it go in a corner?
