The Majestic Trilliant 30 Freestanding puts the Trilliant 30 direct vent firebox, with its ceramic logs, brick interior and accent lighting, into a floor-standing cabinet on a pedestal base. No hearth, mantel or framing is needed, which makes it a clean way to add a real gas fire to a room that never had one.
The Trilliant uses a steel tube heat exchanger and variable-speed fan to push heat into the room, rated at 22,890 to 32,700 BTU/h on natural gas (TRILLIANT30IN) and 22,400 to 32,000 BTU/h on propane (TRILLIANT30IL), with IntelliFire Touch ignition.

Installation Notes
The freestanding Ruby and Trilliant use the 30 in. direct vent insert set into a Majestic steel cabinet with a pedestal base, so the unit stands on the floor with no framing, mantel or hearth. The insert manual lists LINK-DV vent components and SLP 6-5/8 in. direct vent pipe; your installer will confirm the vent route for the freestanding setup from the Majestic instructions. Plan for a gas line to the valve and a 110-120 VAC GFCI-protected circuit. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. What is the difference between the Trilliant and the Ruby?
Both use a 30 in. direct vent firebox with the same input ratings. The Trilliant adds a steel tube heat exchanger, brick interior and accent lights as standard, per the current listing.
Does it need a chimney?
No. It is a direct vent appliance with its own sealed vent system; your installer confirms the approved vent route from the Majestic instructions.
Natural gas or propane?
Choose TRILLIANT30IN for natural gas or TRILLIANT30IL for propane. Both run up to about 32,000 BTU/h.
Will it run in a power outage?
The current listing notes battery backup for the ignition. The fan and lights need household power.

Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory components 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and lights 2 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage begins at installation, is transferable while the fireplace stays at its original site, and requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer.
