The Napoleon Astound FlexMount 62 (NEFL62AB) is a slim linear electric fireplace that can hang on the wall, sit partially recessed, or be fully recessed with one, two or three sides showing. At 7-1/8 in. deep it puts a 62 in. fire on a TV wall or in a bedroom with very little construction.

Napoleon's spark-effect flame runs over Beach Fire logs and Woodland media, with 13 ember bed and top light colors, ECO and BOOST heat modes, and control from the remote, the Napoleon Home app or voice assistants. The heater runs at 1,500 W on 120V or 3,000 W on 240V.

Installation Notes

Hang it on the wall with the supplied brackets, partially recess it, or recess it fully, following the framing and clearance details in the FlexMount manual. It needs a dedicated 15 A grounded circuit, and a qualified electrician should wire it for 240V if you want the 3,000 W setting. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building and board approval for the electrical work.
