The Napoleon Luminex 65 is a linear electric fireplace with an LCD flame display, built-in speakers that crackle with each flame pattern, and a 65 in. x 16.8 in. viewing area. It can be framed as a one-sided, two-sided corner or three-sided fireplace, so it suits a living room, bedroom or kitchen where gas lines or venting are not possible. It is for owners who want a lifelike LCD flame with sound and can hardwire a dedicated circuit.

Installation Notes

Both combustible and non-combustible finishing materials are allowed, but finishing must not extend past the finishing edge trim. Do not use the unit on soft surfaces, and keep furniture and drapes away. Keep TVs and electronics clear of the heat above the unit. Hardwiring must be done by a licensed electrician; in New York City, electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician. Can I plug it into a wall outlet?

No. Napoleon says the unit must be hardwired to a dedicated, grounded 15 A circuit by a qualified electrician, on either 120V or 240V.

How much heat does it make?

Up to 3,000 W (10,000 BTU) at 240V, or 1,500 W at 120V. ECO mode runs at half heat and BOOST mode runs at maximum heat.

Can it be a see-through or corner fireplace?

It can be framed for one-sided, two-sided (corner) or three-sided viewing, with the framing width noted in the manual for each.

Warranty

Napoleon lists a 5-year limited warranty from original installation on electrical components and wearable parts, including fan/heaters, motors, switches, nylon bearings, remote controls and LED lights. Labor is covered for the first year only, and light bulbs and fuses are not covered. The warranty is non-transferable and requires purchase from an authorized Napoleon dealer.
