The Amantii Tru-View Slim 40 (40-TRV-SLIM) is a built-in electric fireplace with glass on the front and both ends. Removable side panels let you set it up as a front-facing unit, a left or right corner, or a full three-sided peninsula, which makes it a natural fit for a room divider, a kitchen peninsula or a living room wall. It plugs into a standard 120V outlet, ships with a birch log set, and Amantii allows it in bathrooms and covered outdoor areas.

Installation Notes

The Tru-View Slim is a built-in electric appliance with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes a see-through or peninsula fireplace possible in New York City apartments where a gas see-through unit would need venting. Decide the viewing configuration before framing, since the opening must leave the chosen glass ends exposed. Outdoors it must be protected from direct water with Amantii's overhang rule; in a bathroom it needs GFCI protection. Hardwiring must be done by a qualified electrician to local code. Can it be a corner fireplace?

Yes. Remove the side panel on the open end for a left or right corner, or both for three-sided viewing.

Does it need to be hardwired?

No. It ships with a 120V plug; hardwiring is optional and must be done by a qualified electrician.

What size opening do I frame?

43-3/4 in wide, 27-1/8 in high and 11-1/8 in deep per the Amantii manual.

Can I put a mantel above it?

Yes, with at least 6 in from the glass front to the mantel.

Amantii's Tru-View Slim manual gives a two (2) year limited warranty against manufacturing and material defects from the date of first purchase, for the original purchaser in the US and Canada; light bulbs are excluded and proof of purchase is required.
