The Amantii Tru-View XT XL 40 (40-TRV-XL-XT) is the extra-tall member of the three-sided Tru-View family, with a 22 inch tall flame opening and glass on the front and both ends. The taller proportion reads more like a traditional fireplace while keeping the see-from-anywhere view of a three-sided unit. Amantii rates the TRV-XL-XT series for indoor rooms, bathrooms with GFCI protection and covered outdoor areas, so it suits a corner, a peninsula or a covered patio wall.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: firebox with front and end glass and remote. Amantii's manual says the TRV-XL-XT series ships with no media; the current listing includes decorative glass media, so we confirm media on your order
  • Required: a framed 43-3/4 x 34 x 14-1/4 in opening and a grounded 120V outlet, ideally on a dedicated circuit
  • Optional: Amantii log or glass media; the listing photos show drift, birch, rustic, oak and Ice styles, and we confirm which kits fit the 40 at order

Installation Notes

This is an electric appliance with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it a practical choice for New York City apartments and condos where a gas see-through fireplace is not an option. In a bathroom it must be on a GFCI receptacle or circuit and kept away from showers and tubs. Outdoors, Amantii requires an overhang of at least half the roofline height, measured from the base of the fireplace, to the front and each side; an 8 ft roofline needs a 4 ft overhang.
