Installation Notes

Because the island ships assembled, setup is mostly placement and gas connection. Keep 24 in. of clearance to combustibles at the sides and 36 in. at the back, and do not place it under a combustible roof or overhang. On propane, only the regulator and hose supplied with the grill may be used, and spare cylinders should never be stored under or near it. A natural gas hookup should be made by a licensed plumber; in New York City that means a licensed master plumber and permit, and propane cylinder storage on terraces and rooftops is restricted, so confirm your building and FDNY rules before ordering. Yes. It is delivered fully assembled on wheels; you place it, connect the gas and plug in the refrigerator.

Can it run on natural gas?

It ships set up for propane. Natural gas requires the Mont Alpi MANGK conversion kit and a licensed gas installer.

Can it go under a covered patio?

Mont Alpi says not to use it under overhead combustible construction and to keep 24 in. at the sides and 36 in. at the back from combustibles. A noncombustible structure with good ventilation is a conversation to have with us before buying.

What is the difference between the MA805-AW and MA805-AWBSS?

The same art-wood island layout; the MA805-AW has a brushed stainless grill, while the AWBSS has a black stainless grill hood and front.

Warranty

Mont Alpi limited lifetime warranty, as published by Mont Alpi dealers: 100 percent coverage for 15 years on the stainless steel roasting hood and cooking grids, 5 years on the stainless steel tubular burners, 2 years on the stainless steel firebox and 1 year on electronics.
