The Amantii Panorama XtraSlim 30 (BI-30-XTRASLIM) is a built-in linear electric fireplace only 4 in deep, shallow enough to recess into a standard 2 x 4 stud wall without furring it out. Amantii rates it for indoor use, covered outdoor areas and bathrooms, so the same 30 in fire can go in a powder room, a bedroom wall or a protected patio. It plugs in or hardwires, and the heater runs independently of the multi-color flame.

Installation Notes

Frame a 29 x 20-3/8 in rough opening and keep a mantel at least 4 in above the trim. In a bathroom, the unit must be on a GFCI receptacle or circuit and kept away from showers and tubs, since it is not watertight. Outdoors, Amantii allows it only where it is protected from direct water, with a rain overhang in front and to each side, and recommends the stainless steel PAN-COVER; proof of that cover is required for outdoor warranty claims.

Hardwiring must be done by a qualified electrician to local code. Electric fireplaces need no gas line, chimney or venting, which is why they are allowed in most New York City apartments and co-ops. Your building may still require an alteration agreement for any in-wall electrical work, so check before you open a wall.

Can it go in a 2 x 4 wall?

Yes. At 4 in deep it recesses into a standard 2 x 4 stud wall with a 29 x 20-3/8 in rough opening.

Can I install it outdoors?

Yes, in an area protected from direct water with a rain overhang, per the manual. Amantii recommends the stainless steel PAN-COVER outdoors and requires it for outdoor warranty claims.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Yes, on a GFCI-protected circuit and away from showers and tubs.

Does it need to be hardwired?

No. It ships with a plug, and a qualified electrician can hardwire it if you prefer.

Warranty

Amantii warrants the fireplace to be free from manufacturing and material defects for two (2) years from the date of first purchase, for the original purchaser in the United States and Canada. Light bulbs are excluded. Panorama units installed outdoors or in moisture-intense conditions must use the Amantii stainless steel cover, and proof of purchase of the cover is required for warranty claims. Repairs by anyone other than Amantii or its authorized service, alteration, misuse or an incorrect power source void coverage. See the manual for full terms.
