The Bromic Platinum 500 Smart-Heat Gas heater (BH0110003-1, natural gas) is a 39,800 BTU radiant heater with Bromic's ceramic-glass screen, built for covered patios, restaurant terraces and pool cabanas that already have a gas line. It mounts on a wall or ceiling, pivots on its bracket to aim heat where people sit, and uses direct ignition with automatic re-ignition so it can be switched on and left alone. Bromic rates it for areas up to 215 square feet.

Installation Notes
Outdoor use only; Bromic does not approve the Platinum gas heater for indoor residential locations. It must be in an outdoor area or a partial enclosure with an overhead cover and no more than two walls, protected from direct rain. Mount it at least 8 ft above the ground with 3 ft to combustibles above (14 in with the deflector) and to the sides. Installation must follow local code or the National Fuel Gas Code; in New York City gas piping needs a licensed master plumber and permit.
