The Firegear Burning Spur is a round 304 stainless steel match-light gas burner kit for building a new round or square fire pit or replacing a worn burner. It comes in five sizes, 12 to 36 in, from 42,000 to 183,000 Btu on natural gas, with the flex line, key valve and chrome key in the box.

Installation Notes

Decide on the pan before you install: the spur sits in a pan or disc 2-1/2 to 3 in deep, and each size needs the minimum inside opening listed above. Size the gas line for the burner Btu, keep the clearances above, and have a licensed gas installer make and leak-test the connections. Questions about fit or a full outdoor kitchen layout? Which size do I need?

Pick the spur by the inside opening of your fire pit: from 15 in for the 12 in spur to 39 in for the 36 in spur.

Can it run on propane?

Yes, with the Firegear propane conversion kit; propane ratings run slightly lower (for example 33,000 Btu on the 12 in).

Is a pan included?

No. This is the burner kit without a pan.

Warranty

The Firegear Burning Spur Kit manual gives consumer installations 5 years on stainless steel components and 2 years on the gas valve, igniter and electronic parts, and commercial installations 1 year on all components. The warranty starts at the date of sale to the end user and is void if the kit is not installed and operated as intended.
