The SimpliFire Allusion Edge 60 is a slide-in linear electric fireplace with a 58" x 15" viewing area. It drops into a framed and finished wall, so the fire sits flush with painted drywall, tile or smooth stone. Four flame effects, three crackle sound settings, adjustable heat and Wi-Fi control suit a feature wall in a living room or bedroom, with or without heat.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: the Allusion Edge fireplace and remote. Media is selected in the options: without logs, with decorative spheres or with a glowing birch log set.
- Required: a framed wall opening of 61" W x 19-5/8" H and a 120 V, 15 amp circuit with hardwire or plug-in connection
- Required: drywall or finishing material brought to the edge of the opening before the fireplace is installed
- Optional: a SimpliFire build-out kit, available from the manufacturer
Installation Notes
The fireplace slides into a framed wall, with 0 inches clearance to sides, floor, back and mantel, 4 inches from the top to the ceiling and 36 inches in front. Mantel projections are limited to 24 inches maximum. It plugs in or can be hardwired, so there is no gas line or vent. A licensed electrician should supply the circuit. Electric fireplaces are a popular choice for NYC apartments because no chimney or vent is needed. See the design consultation page to plan the wall and finishes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a vent or gas line?
No. It is electric and runs on a 120 V, 15 amp circuit, either plugged in or hardwired.
Can I run it without heat?
Yes. Heat output has several settings, including no heat, so you can enjoy the flames all year.
Can I mount a TV above it?
The spec sheet allows a mantel at 0 inches above the top and 4 inches minimum to the ceiling, with mantel projections up to 24 inches. Check the heat output of anything you mount above and the manual before finalizing the layout.
What finishes work around it?
It is compatible with painted drywall, tile and smooth finishes such as porcelain and granite. Finishing material must reach the edge of the framed opening so the front trim overlaps it.
